Dark tourist destinations in the news include the new London Tombs exhibit, Weird Chicago Tours, the Crescent Hotel, Lake Superior's Pressie, the Silver Bridge and Mothman, Loch Ness, the Yeti, a Bigfoot exhibit, UFO photo in Poland, and a Bigfoot investigation in California. London Bridge is Falling Down - local schools invited to record rhyme
London SE1 has posted this notice about a contest for students from London-based schools to contribute their recording of the famous "London Bridge is Falling Down" poem to be part of the new theme attraction, The London Bridge Experience, which is slated to open next February. Part of the attraction will be a venture into the "London Tombs," which is being constructed to compete with the popular London Dungeon and "create a scare factor unsurpassed in the UK."

The Capital Times has this article on the legend of Pressie, a creature believed to exist in the waters of Lake Superior, following a photo being released on the Internet that was taken 30 years ago near Wildnerness State Park in the Porcupine Mountains north of Ironwood, Michigan that many believe to be the actual lake monster.

Survivor recalls plunge from Silver Bridge into the river
The Charleston Daily Mail has this article that looks at the collapse of the Silver Bridge in Point Pleasant, West Virginia on its 40th year anniversary. Theories behind why the bridge collapse range from a curse by Chief Cornstalk, a Shawnee Indians leader who was detained and later killed at Fort Randolph in Point Pleasant, to the Mothman, a mysterious winged-creature that was the subject of a flurry of sightings in the area prior to the bridge collapse.
