The Natalee Holloway Case
On the night of her disappearance, this restaurant is the last place missing American tourist, Natalee Holloway, was seen by witnesses. On the night of May 30, 2005, Natalee was witnessed to be outside the restaurant with suspects Joran van der Sloot, Deepak Kalpoe and Satish Kalpoe. The three claimed to have provided Natalee with a ride to her hotel. There are no witnesses to corroborate their story, as Natalee vanished without returning to her hotel.
Despite the suspects having been arrested twice, the case has been dropped both times and remains unsolved. The suspects remain persons of interest, and despite videotaped confessions from two people linked to the case, authorities are still lacking in evidence needed to begin prosecution.
There is a $250,000 reward offered for information leading to recovery of Holloway's remains and a $1,000,000 reward for her safe return (some of the reward money is offered by the Carlos & Charlie's restaurant chain and the Aruban government).
