Information
Forks Police Station
The Forks Police Station is part of the Forks City Hall compound. The station has a jail with 30 beds. It provides service to the city of Forks and some of the surrounding communities.

Twilight
In Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Saga, the Forks Police Station is the fictional workplace of Bella Swan's father, Charlie. In the novels Charlie Swan is the Chief of Police for Forks, Washington. Bella's parents divorced when she was only a year old and her exposure to her father was largely limited to spending a month with him each year in the Summer. At the age of 17 she finds herself living with Charlie at his home in Forks.

Charlie Swan takes a dislike to his daughter's boyfriend Edward Cullen. He also works with local hunters in an attempt to take down a large black wolf that is perceived as having killed hikers. Unbeknownst to Charlie, his daughter's boyfriend is a vampire and the wolf he hunts is her best friend Jacob Black, the boy Charlie wishes his daughter was dating instead.

Tour
The Forks Chamber of Commerce offers a tour of locations used in the Twilight books. The police station is included among the stops.

Movie Adaptation
When it came time to adapt the first novel in the series, the production company, Summit Entertainment, opted to use various locations in northern Oregon to double as the Washington locales due to budgetary constraints. For example, the city of Vernonia, Oregon was transformed to represent the city of Forks. Sadly enough, the city was still recovering from a major flood that had only occurred months earlier and most of the structures were still heavily damaged by the floodwaters. While the city was prominently featured throughout the film during driving sequences, only one building was used to film both interior and exterior sequences - The Forks Police Station. Ironically, the "police station" in the feature film adaptation of Twilight is not a police station at all, but rather home to the Vernonia-branch of the Wauna Federal Credit Union.
