Information
Cinema Wasteland Expo
This movie and memorabilia expo in Strongsville, Ohio is typically is held during the first weekend of April and the first weekend of October each year (Check the web site to be sure. Holidays shift the date around at times). The convention has been running since 2000.

Video Wasteland
The origins of the expo stem from Video Wasteland, a movie and memorabilia store that has been in operation since 1987. One of the first mail order services offering video rental by mail, the store has evolved over the years into a collectibles store (now known as Cinema Wasteland) that deals in autographs, posters, movies and more. The store's founder and owner, Ken Kish, created the Cinema Wasteland Movie and Memorabilia Expo to fill a need he saw for a convention that offered a variety of celebrities he saw lacking in conventions he attended. The expo also aims to be "show" and not just a convention. It offers events throughout the weekend to entertain attendees and not just access to a dealers' room and endless autograph lines.

Events & Attractions
The expo features a 10,000 square foot dealers' room. There are also Q&A sessions with celebrity guests of the convention. Movies and events run the course of the weekend, with more than 17 hours of films and events on just saturdays alone. Movie showings range from video projection to 16mm film (occasionally accompanied by live commentary by celebrity guests).
