The Ring Two (2005): Crossover Road
This road in Fort Stevens State Park, Oregon was seen in a critical scene in the 2005 horror sequel, The Ring Two. Though most online mapping software lists the road as "Burma Road," the official name is actually Crossover Road. It received its name for creating quick access from the state park facilities to the popular tourist destination of the remains of the shipping vessel, the Peter Iredale, which is washed up on the shore nearby.

The Ring Two (2005)
Crossover Road was used during the production of the horror sequel, The Ring Two, as the setting for one of the movie's most infamous scenes. In the film, the main characters of Rachel (Naomi Watts) and Aidan (David Dorfman) are traveling down this road when they are attacked by a herd of deer. The actual filming took place on this road, as well as in studios in Hollywood.

For The Ring Two, CGI effects were created to represent the large deer (mostly bucks), as well as some minor animatronics, and it does not appear as if any actual deer were used in the scene. The majority of the sequences of the actors inside the car were actually done in the studio in front of green screens, so that the filmmakers were able to add the setting (and deer) outside the car in the film editing process. The two actors are never quite visible during the exterior sequences of the car on the road, so it is highly probable that a secondary unit captured the scene.

Crossover Road Today
The road passes behind the nearby Battery Russell and is open to visitors to Fort Stevens State Park. There is a high possibility that tourists might actually see deer while traveling down the road, though they are generally believed to be fairly safe - The Ring Two scene notwithstanding. However, it is wise to keep an eye out while driving in case one decides to run in front of the vehicle.
