I went to the used bookstore today and found some really good titles. They were:
STITCH by Mark Morris (Fenny sent me two of this guys books, THE IMACULATE and THE SECRET OF ANATOMY, and they sound great. But when I went on the net to look for his other stuff there was nothing to find)
SIBS by F. Paul Wilson
MOONBANE by Al Sarrantonio (I loved Sarrantonio's story collection TOYBOX and I've been picking up his novels what I see them but this one really stuck out for me. Lansdale has a great quote on the back, "MOONBANE is a stylish B-Movie of a novel. Fast paced and poetic, and scary in the old-fashioned sense of such fine B-chillers as The Cat People and I Walked With A Zombie.")
GLIMPSES by Lewis Shiner (this is a science fiction novel but Shiner is one of those guys that I'm always looking for since I've heard so many great things about him, especially his novel SLAM which will be read soon.)
FONTERA by Lewis Shiner
So, those are some good finds and I was wondering what some of the best finds you've had. My best finds have been:
All my Ellison books (this guys hard as hell to find around here and that's so frustrating since he's my all time favorite writer)
BESTSELLERS GAUREENTED by Joe R Lansdale
BY BIZARE HANDS by Joe R Lansdale
SHE WAKES by Jack Ketchum
These are the books I bought several years ago and have yet to see them reappear since. So what are your "best buys."

All-time best finds, eh? Here goes:
Ellison's Paingod, ORIGINAL paperback, first editon, 1964, excellent condiiton, ONE DOLLAR.
Robert Bloch, The Dead Beat, hardcover, first edition, ONE DOLLAR.
Gerald Kersh, Nightshades and Damnations, edited by Harlan Ellison, paperback, 1966, 25 cents.
Ramsey Campbell, The Face That Must Die, Scream Press hardcover, 5 bucks.
Richard Matheson, Shadow on the Sun, First Edition hardcover, 4 bucks.
William F. Nolan, Helltracks, first edition paperback, brand new, 1 dollar.
This is just a few choice finds. Book hunting is excellent fun, but it's funner still to have a friend to do it with. I haven't done it in ages. Now, my book hunting is done online. Hmm. Somehow, it just isn't the same.

Yeah, most of my book hunting is done online as well. You're right though, it's not the same. I always get a bigger kick when I find a great book in some shanty used bookstore than some internet wherehouse. It's the thrill of the hunt I guess.

Mr SA--I didn't know you were a fan of Sarrantonio. The used store near me has October and The Worms, maybe some other ones. Would you like me to pick them up for you? Just say the word and I'll drop you an email.

rachaela, I would love a copy of THE WORMS. That's the only Sarrantonio book I don't have. Drop me an email and we can work out a trade. I know I can find some sort of book for you as well.
