Colin: So with our creatures, it's kind of like that. Ours are all organic. Even the mothership is a giant living thing. There's a very different sort of thing happening with them. Instead of them being hellbent on Earth's destruction, they're just kind of doing their thing. That, to me, is kind of what made it a little bit more interesting. We're not making a weird political statement. It's just an event. It's an event that's happening and now it's too late and it's how you deal with that. That, to me, is an interesting human struggle. You're losing people you love. Everyone's gone. Especially with Eric and Scottie's characters who are flown in from New York, they can't call their mother. They're cut off from what's going on.
