The remake of I Spit on Your Grave is in UK cinemas from Jan 21st. Here's a blog I posted on the cast and crew that has links to other posts on the film.

The movie really works if these kind of extreme horror movie are your thing. It's slicker and better made than the original but it doesn't suffer from inappropriate casting or the need to make the films more Hollywood like some remakes of classic horror movies have done. |

Not really. Here's a post I wrote on one scene from the movie (so beware spoilers) where peer pressure and dead end boredom combine into a potentially violent and perverse brew

What a great film this was, this is one of the better remakes after the efforts of Halloween etc, 8 out of 10.

The New ISYG remake does join that exclusive club of rare remakes that best their source.
Oceans 11 is another, non horror, example. |
