Stu Barnes hails from the Pacific Northwest and came to San Francisco in 2002 to study film editing at The Academy of Art University, pursuing a lifetime interest in the language of cinema.

Stu has a storied professional history as an editor, working for some of the most prestigious editorial and post production houses in the Bay Area over a decade’s length career. He has worked with a wide array of clients and mediums, ranging from Music Videos for Billboard top 100 acts to nationally broadcast television campaigns for brands such as Levi’s, Clorox, Walmart, Mini Cooper, and Re/Max.

Outside of his professional career, Stu’s interests almost entirely all center around cinema. A lifelong fan of films from Cult to Mainstream, he shares an excitement for the moving picture that is hard to conceal. He is a proud collaborator with those who look to find the new perspectives of the future.
